I left my former Aquatic Director self behind in 1996 and decided to work with individuals full time as a Massage Therapist. Having taken classes in Neuro-muscular Therapy early on gave me knowledge of the deep muscles which often cause pain and immobility.  The work was very effective but painful for the client and after a period of time is also tiring to the hands of the therapist. 

 

In 2000 I began my journey with Acupressure after reading Dr. Aminah Raheem’s book “Soul Return” and taking her “Process Acupressure” class in Philadelphia. This was a defining time in my professional practice as it works with assisting the whole being, body, mind, emotions and spirit to balance as it should.

 

This work is transformational!  

 

I included Acupressure within my bag of tools. Much to my delight this method of healing was much easier on my body and healing and relaxing for my clients. It allows me to work without burn out and without using my own energy to achieve positive results with my clients.

 

I developed a routine to stabilize the pelvis that enabled my clients with chronic back pain to walk and move again pain-free. I continued to become a Certified Instructor of Insight Acupressure in 2002 and offer a variety of Acupressure Classes both for the Professional and the lay person who wants to work on themselves and family and friends.
